LinkedIn have blogged to say that 30% of members view their co-worker profiles. We’re not convinced that is a surprise. Isn’t it natural that curiosity will kick-in and you’ll look at the profiles of those you work with?
However, in mentioning the statistic, they’ve provided a guide to finding your co-workers more easily. The reason they’ve done so is because it isn’t always as easy as it should be.
Members often don’t attach themselves to a company/employer and then you have the fact that there a still far too many who haven’t created a company profile.
So, they’ve given a step-by-step guide through the Advanced Search function.
You’d think this might be common sense, but apparently not. We often provide LinkedIn training and find that a lot of people are completely unaware of the search functionality that extends well beyond that of the search box at the top of the LinkedIn home page.
